The .NET framework is a popular and solid choice for developing applications for the Windows platform. With the increasing use of mobile applications, you would be wise to consider a platform that supports a future requirement to enable an application for mobile use. Simply choosing the most compatible platform is a good decision.

VB.NET and C# are Equals

Whether you prefer VB.NET to leverage the skills of the large base of VB developers, or if you like the modern, clean C# language, the .NET framework supports both in equal measure.
